Banking security, made practical

Security is a shared responsibility. Jersey Community Bank will never ask you to reveal a password or one-time verification code by email, text message or an unexpected call.

Protect your access

  • Use a unique, long password for the Banking Suite and keep your device software and browser up to date.
  • Only sign in through the address you expect. Avoid Banking Suite links in unexpected messages; type the address yourself or use a saved bookmark.
  • Sign out when you finish, especially on a shared device. Do not save credentials on a computer you do not control.

Pause before you pay

  • Confirm the recipient, account details and amount before submitting a transfer. Fraudsters can impersonate family, suppliers, advisers and organisations.
  • Treat urgent requests for secrecy, unusual payment instructions and requests to move funds to a “safe” account as warning signs.

If something feels wrong

  • Use the Banking Suite or contact our team promptly if you see unfamiliar activity, receive a suspicious message or lose a device that can access your account.
  • Do not forward passwords, one-time codes or full card details. Preserve suspicious messages and any payment references to help us review the concern.
